Our activities are the gateway to your local experience while staying with us. Connect with our local guides and let them show you the intricacies of Balinese customs. It is through food, ceremonies, walks, exploration and mini-adventures in our village that you’ll be able to get a sense of the true Balinese values that uphold our cultural heritage.

Cooking Class with Ibu Ayu and Ibu Komang

Why does food taste so good at Sinara Bali (Sunset Sala)? Because it’s made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Learn how to get the perfect spicy/sweet/savory flavor that makes your taste buds sing. Ayu and Komang will teach you 3 dishes and even take you to the market if you wish (early wake-up). You get to eat your food after the class!

Cleansing Ceremony with Pak and Ibu Mangku

A traditional Balinese Hindu cleansing ceremony to remove disruptive energy from your field. You will dress in traditional Balinese attire (provided), and the service will be conducted in Balinese, but Ibu Mangku will guide you in basic English. The ceremony takes place in just outside the Teak house and needs to be reserved in advance.

Trekking Expedition with Koko

The North of Bali is a beautiful and mostly untouched area full of forests, fields, rivers, mountains, villages, waterfalls and a lot of charm! Explore the area of Sudaji with an experienced trekking tour guide who will show hidden paths and tell you stories along the way. It’s a demanding 5km trek so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a reusable bottle of water.

Sekumpul Waterfall

Experience the tallest waterfall in Bali. With an impressive 80 meters fall, Sekumpul is a majestic spot where the power of nature is undeniably felt. Locals of the Sekumpul town manage the access and visiting the falls with a guide is mandatory. The trek is demanding and includes some extremely steep steps, but you can take your time. Don’t miss this if you are in the area! 

Canangs with the Ibus

Learn to make three different types of offerings and let the ibus take you through the magical world of Canangs. Why are there different types of shapes and petals? what do the materials mean and what is the intention behind each offering? Enjoy this hands- on activity and dive into local customs!
